Certificate III in Hairdressing
This course provides students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to work as a hairdresser.Students will gain ‘hands on’ experience in our Institutes own commercial hair salons, where they will learn about haircutting, colouring, hair design, bleaching, perming and straightening, on both male and female models and customers. Students will practice communication skills with colleagues and customers and learn to identify and discuss hair structures and style with customers.

Certificate IV in Hairdressing
Students will learn the advanced techniques of the disciplines listed as well as more complex requirements such as working as a session stylist and colour correction. Students will also learn how to induct a new team member, how to supervise work processes, roster staff, perform stock control and maintain a safe work environment.

Diploma of Hairdressing Salon Management
This level will suit students who want to own or manage a hairdressing salon. The course provides students with the skills and knowledge to plan and start their own hairdressing business.
Students will be equipped with the necessary management and leadership skills to process complex tasks including financial management, advertising and marketing, team leadership and purchasing.
Students are required to complete their practical training at a Fusion Hair.Face.Body training centre.
We aim to provide students with hands-on practical experience, up-to-date styles and skills, traditional and highly modern hair techniques as well as experience in genuine customer interaction.

Uniform and Materials
Our Institute’s supply one Fusion t-shirt and all course materials at AU $200. Students are required to wear black pants, black Fusion top and enclosed black shoes.
Hairdressing Kit
Students are required to purchase a set of hairdressing tools for practical sessions. The cost is AU$800.

Important Notice for prospective students of Certificate III in Hairdressing
Relevant only if you want to work as a hairdresser in Western Australia.
Completion of the Certificate III in Hairdressing does not automatically entitle you to be registered with the Hairdressers Registration Board of Western Australia (HRB).
Perth Institute can assist you to find employment or work experience in hair salons to enable you to fulfil the practical industry time mandatory to gain Western Australian registration.
