A one day course to give you all the knowledge you need to serve alcohol responsibly.
Who Should Do this Course?
Any person who is employed in the sale or supply of alcohol needs to complete Responsible Service of Alcohol at an approved training provider. This includes hospitality employers, employees and people who would like to work in a restaurant, bar, bottleshop or with an airline. Anyone who has contact with the sale or supply of alcohol needs to ensure that they complete this training course.
Covered in the course are the objectives and obligations of the act as well as:
- Identifying customers who may be refused service
- Acceptable proof of identification
- Standard drinks
- Assisting customers to drink within appropriate limits
- Recognising signs of intoxication
- Refusal of service
- Assisting alcohol affected customers
Range of Course Delivery Options
Responsible Service of Alcohol can be attained in two ways
- Standard one day course - Please contact Perth Institute for course dates
- Self paced course - Students will receive a disk and support materials to work through.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants receive a Statement of Attainment for ‘Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol’ (SITHFAB009A) as part of Certificate II in Hospitality (formerly known as THHBFB09B - Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol).
